(Treks = Journeys)

“Woodtreks” are video journeys for woodworkers, wood artists, and collectors of fine wood crafts, art, and furniture. Be inspired, learn how-to, and discover master artisans & their work.

Who is watching WoodTreks?

WoodTreks videos are for people who love wood. Since launching in mid 2008, WoodTreks.com has been building an audience, and while it’s certainly not the biggest woodcraft site on the planet, WoodTreks viewers are now averaging over 75,000 minutes of video playback each month — So lots of folks just like you are joining me to explore the wide world of wood art & craft. I promise, I’ll bring you more than just the “how-to’s”. We’ll also travel the back roads and byways to meet the people and see the places that make this past-time so interesting. Information, artisans, experts, authentic locales, and great examples of art & craft – it’s all ahead. We’re on a wide ranging journey of fun and discovery.

Who is behind this site?

My name is Keith Cruickshank. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been building and creating things with wood. I appreciate the beauty of wood and I like to work with wood. It turns out, I also have an interest in filmmaking and a background with internet technologies and business. And then, add to that, the fact that I really like to meet interesting and talented people and presto — I now host this personal video blog, where I shoot, produce, and publish videos celebrating wood art & craft – and the people who make it happen.

What makes this site possible?

My wife thinks it’s good wholesome fun. So it starts with that.
