Who is behind this site?

My name is Keith Cruickshank. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been building or sculpting things with wood. I appreciate the beauty of wood and I like to design and create in wood. It turns out, I also have an interest in filmmaking and the internet. And then, add to that, the fact that I really like to meet interesting and talented people and presto — I now host this personal video blog, where I shoot, produce, and publish videos about wood art & craft - and the people who make it happen. I do this for fun. It’s my passion.

WoodTreks is for people who love wood. My hope is that whether you are a woodworker, wood artist, or collector of fine woodcrafts & furniture, you’ll join me as we explore the wide world of wood art & craft. I’ll bring you more than just the “how-to’s. We’ll also travel the back roads and byways to meet the people and see the places that make this past-time so interesting. Information, artisans, experts, scenic locales, and great examples of art & craft - it’s all ahead. We’re on a wide ranging journey of fun and discovery.
